Planning ahead while being present.

Updated: Jul 20

This past year has been challenging for so many of us because in addition to immediate health concerns and world events, we also have had our assumptions about how to plan our lives completely changed. Many of us experienced working from home indefinitely or long-term for the first time. I once believed that working from home would be so great, but it can be very difficult because we then take on the role of supervisor over ourselves.

Throughout my design career I've struggled with time management because there's so many apps, concepts, and varying professional standards that I haven't know what to d0- a sort of analysis paralysis! One aha moment for me was that time management mastery is a journey and to make any attempt to do better almost always pays off.

On my most recent personal project, I wanted to make a retro or vaporwave style planner to make time management more fun in lieu of having a flux capacitor, some enriched plutonium and a customer Delorean. One of my favorite artists, Musketon, makes these great illustrations of various things including retro tech (check his Instagram https://www.instagram.com/musketon/ ). Inspired by his work and a recent freebie from a great design studio on Creative Market by Part of Art studios. I created my own way to get to the future with a blast from the past planner. Check it out below and let me know if you think it would be useful to you. I'm still under way setting up the PDF editable version for tablets/e-readers.

Thank you for reading and stay tuned next week for more fun content! If you'd like a copy of PDF version with Form elements that can be filled, boxes that can be checked, and more, let me know using the contact form here: https://www.loftvisual.com/contact .
